FAQs

What All Comes With The LS Swap Package?

What comes with the engine package is generally everything needed to for a universal, ready to run, standalone type engine. This means it will come with things like;

  • The engine itself.

  • Stand alone, three wire hook up wire harness.

  • Custom programed ECM

  • Intake, exhaust, all sensors, water pump, power steering pump, alternator, starter, etc.

  • The engine will come completely assembled and will be ran on the test stand before the customer takes possession.

What Does NOT Come With The LS Swap Package?

Because of the dizzying array of what people are swapping these engines into, there are things that the costomer will be required to furnish on their own in order to complete the swap. This means items such as the following are NOT included and should be taken into consideration;

  • Radiator

  • Power steering/radiator hoses

  • Exhaust connections from the headers

  • A/C Lines

  • Special Flexplates/flywheels

  • Vehicle specific wiring

  • Vehicle specific instructions

  • Fuel pump

How Much Horsepower (HP) Does the Motor Have?

In general, horsepower ratings are based from Generation III Silverado trucks.

4.8L 270–285hp & 285-295tq

5.3L 270-310hp & 315-335tq

6.0L 300-345hp & 360-380tq

Of course There is a lot more to it than that. But those are the factory numbers. Custom tunes, camshaft upgrades, headers, etc can have any of these engines into the 400+hp range very easily.

Are the Engines Rebuilt?

We offer both used and rebuilt engines in our engine packages. Most used engines are sourced from local wrecking yards that we have a working relationship with. This means we can request cleaner engines, lower mileage engines, etc.

Our rebuilt engines are typically rebuilt for us by a local machine whop with a great reputation. For an additional charge, reman engines can be sourced directly from GM.
